If you told me last year that I’d wind up writing a Romcom, I would have replied you didn’t know me very well. LOL! But as it happens, I just ventured into this fascinating genre purely by accident.
I needed a break from writing such intense thrillers (like Staff Dominion). They require a lot of research and brain power to put the pieces together, write action scenes, etc.
So at the advice of one of my Ad School coaches, I started to play with a story and write for run. Next thing I knew I had an idea and shortly after, this little book was done!
Wow…I have to say I really enjoyed writing it and had no idea I could even write a book like this. I like punny humor so there’s some of that in there as well as a lot of references to my favorite Christmas movies, like The Holiday and The Last Holiday, which wound up being my inspiration for the title, and other classics like A Christmas Story.
